Originating in the South Pacific, Lomi Lomi Bodywork has been practiced for hundreds of years by master practitioners (kahuna) and elders (kupuna). These practitioners were revered bearers of the light of knowledge that surrounded this spiritual work, and passed down this sacred gift from generation to generation. Also known as Hawaiian Temple Style Massage and Ka Huna, this form of bodywork was used during Rites of Passage as a transformational massage and healing system.
Lomi Lomi Massage is a deeply healing and beautiful form of massage to receive and is especially good for reducing stress and increasing the subtle energy called "mana", also known as ki, chi or lifeforce. When this energy flows freely and we are in balance we are happy, confident, vibrant and healthy. However when it is low or obstructed we can feel tight, tired or just lacking a certain "joie de vivre".
